Pr. George Antony who is the Pastor of this church was born and brought up under the Roman Catholic faith. At the age of 21, he personally accepted Jesus Christ by calling to Him in times of his personnel distress. But unfortunately no one guided him in the spiritual realm. He spent 4 years without a born again experience.  At the age of 25, he accepted the Lord Jesus and took water baptism on 14 November 1990.  On 14^th January 1991, God Almighty anointed him with the Holy Spirit and he continued his spiritual life in the Assembly of God Church at Thane, Mumbai. 

His early spiritual life was marked by trials and persecutions from his own villagers and also from his own family because of his faith. During these trouble times he also received the calling of God for His ministry through many repeated dreams.

In May 1994, he came to Doha and joined the local Tamil Church lead by Pastor Appadurai and assisted him in various church activities.  On May 02, 1997 a new church was started with 7 prominent members to worship God and he became the pastor for this new church in Doha. After a while, this church was joined with Assembly of God (Southern District of Assembly of God).  Now he is a pastor blessed with a family of four children, and a congregation of about 800 members.

In June 2007, Malayalam Fellowship was started to minister to the Malayalam speaking community with the help of Pastor Samkutty and Pastor N. Peter. This fellowship later became Salam Assembly of God church presently lead by Pastor. Vijayan.

In June 2009, Hindi Fellowship was started to minister to the Hindi speaking community with the help of Bro. Ravikumar and Bro. Prakash. Currently it is named as El-Elyon Assembly of God Church lead by Pastor. Ravikumar. This church constitutes many Hindi speaking members from North Indian and Nepal.

Our Church organization works and ministers with many spiritually well-equipped fore frontiers (church leaders) under the leadership of Senior Pastor George Antony. They are able to preach and provide pastoral care to the congregation. They are also leaders of different prayer cell groups functioning in various camps under them. With the timely council and moral support extended by our Spiritual Elders the church is able to function smoothly. All the members of the Church are collectively working towards the goal and vision of our church.
