தேவனின் பேழை ஓபேத்-ஏதோமின் வீட்டில் மூன்று மாதங்கள் தங்கியிருந்தது. கர்த்தர் ஓபேத்-ஏதோமின் வீட்டையும் அவனுடைய எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆசீர்வதித்தார்.

உடன்படிக்கைப் பேழை என்பது தேவனின் பிரசன்னம் வசிக்கும் இடமாக, தேவன் தம் மக்களிடம் பேசும் இடமாகப் இருந்தது . யாத்திராகமம் 25:17-22 “வாசஸ்தலத்தையும்,  மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தையும், உடன்படிக்கைப் பேழையையும் எவ்வாறு உருவாக்குவது என்று தேவன் தம் ஊழியரான மோசேக்கு அறிவுறுத்துகிறார். தேவன் மிகவும் பரிசுத்தமான இடத்திலிருந்து மோசேயிடம் பேசுவார், மோசே தனது மக்களுக்கு தேவனின் வார்த்தையைக் கொண்டு வந்தார்.”

ஆனால் காலப்போக்கில், உன்னதமான தேவனின் ஆசாரியர்கள் தேவனுடைய வார்த்தையை விடாமுயற்சியுடன் பின்பற்றவில்லை, அதனால் தேவன் அவர்களை நிராகரித்தார். ஆசாரியனாகிய ஏலியின் காலத்தில்,  பெலிஸ்தியர் இஸ்ரவேலை தோற்கடித்து தேவனின் பேழையைக் கைப்பற்றினர். அவர்கள் அதை தங்கள் இடத்திற்கு எடுத்துச் சென்றனர் (1 சாமு 3:11-24, 1 சாமு 4:21-22). ஆனால் எதிரிகளின் முகாமில் இருந்த தேவனின் பேழை அவர்களுக்குப் பேரழிவை ஏற்படுத்தியதால், அவர்களால் அதைத் தங்களிடம் அதிக நேரம் வைத்திருக்க முடியவில்லை. (1 சாமு 6:19;20) பெலிஸ்தியர்கள் பயத்துடனும் நடுக்கத்துடனும் பேழையை இஸ்ரவேலுக்குத் திருப்பி அனுப்பினர்

இப்பொழுது 20 வருடங்கள் ஆகிவிட்டன, சவுல் ராஜாவின் நாட்களில் ஒருவரும் உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைத் தேடவில்லை (1 சாமு 7:1,2). (1 நாளாகமம் 13:1-2) ஆனால் தாவீதின் அரசாட்சியின் போது, ​​தாவீது பேழையைத் தேட ஆரம்பித்து, அதைத் திரும்பக் கொண்டுவரத் திட்டமிட்டதை இங்கே வாசிக்கிறோம். நாம் தினமும் தேவனின் பிரசன்னத்தைத் தேட வேண்டும்.

1 நாளாகமம் 13:7- அதனால் அவர்கள் மிகுந்த மகிழ்ச்சியோடும், பாடி ஆராதனையோடும் பேழையைக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். ஆனால் முடிவு சோகமாக இருந்தது, (1 நாளாகமம் 13:10) அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய கோபம் ஊசாவின்மேல் எழுந்தது, அவன் தன் கையை பேழையின்மேல் வைத்ததால் அவனை அடித்தார்; அங்கே அவன் தேவன் முன்பாக இறந்தான்.

எண் 4:15 –“ஆரோனும் அவனுடைய குமாரரும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தையும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தின் எல்லாப் பொருட்களையும் மூடி முடித்தபின்பு, பாளயம் புறப்படும்போது, ​​கோகாத்தின் புத்திரர் அவைகளைச் சுமக்க வருவார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் சாகாதபடி எந்தப் பரிசுத்தமான பொருளையும் தொடக்கூடாது. இவைகளையே கோகாத்தின் புத்திரர் கொண்டுபோகவேண்டிய சந்திப்புக் கூடாரத்திலுள்ளவைகள்”.

ஏனென்றால், கடவுளின் பேழையை எப்படி எடுத்துச் செல்ல வேண்டும் என்று கடவுள் கட்டளைகளை கொடுத்திருக்கிறார். எனவே, தகுதியற்றவர்கள் அதைத் தொடும் எவரும் அதே நேரத்தில் கொல்லப்படுவார்கள்.

கடவுளின் பேழையை நிலைநிறுத்த உஸ்ஸாவின் அபாயகரமான முயற்சி,  கடவுளின் பார்வையில் சரியானதைச் செய்ய வேண்டியதன் அவசியத்தை அடிக்கோடிட்டுக் காட்டும் வேதனையான பாடமாகும்.

லேவியராகமம் 10:1-2

அப்பொழுது ஆரோனின் குமாரராகிய நாதாபும் அபியூவும் அவரவர் தங்கள் தூபகலசத்தை எடுத்து, அதிலே அக்கினியை இட்டு, அதின்மேல் தூபவர்க்கத்தைப் பூசி, கர்த்தர் தங்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிடாத அன்நிய அக்கினியை அவர் சந்நிதியில் செலுத்தினார்கள். ஆகையால், கர்த்தரிடமிருந்து அக்கினி புறப்பட்டு, அவர்களைப் பட்சித்தது, அவர்கள் கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாக மடிந்தார்கள்.

தேவஜனங்கள் சரியான அறிவுரைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், அவர்களின் விருப்பத்தின்படி செய்யும் போது கடவுள் அவர்களைத் தண்டிக்கிறார் (I சாம் 6:19)

இன்றும் மக்களுக்கு கடவுளை எப்படி வணங்க வேண்டும் என்று தெரிவதில்லை. (உபாகமம் 12:4;8, நியாயாதிபதிகள் 17:6; 21:23) அவர்கள் தங்கள் அறிவுக்கும் விருப்பத்திற்கும் சிறந்ததாகத் தோன்றும் வழிகளில் செய்ய விரும்புகிறார்கள், ஆனால் வேதம் என்ன கற்பிக்கிறது என்பதைக் கவனத்தில் கொள்ள மாட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் புறஜாதிகளின் வழிகளைக் கற்று, புறஜாதிகளைப் போலவே கடவுளை வணங்கினர், இது கடவுளின் பார்வைக்கு அருவருப்பானது.

இன்று தேவஜனங்கள் தேவனுக்கு மரியாதை கொடுக்க மறந்து, தேவாலயத்தை புறக்கணித்து, வழிபாட்டில் கலந்து கொள்ளவதில்லை. எபிரேயர் 10:25 கூறுகிறது, “சபை கூடிவருதலைச் சிலர் விட்டுவிடுகிறதுபோல நாமும் விட்டுவிடாமல், ஒருவருக்கொருவர் புத்திசொல்லக்கடவோம்; நாளானது சமீபித்துவருகிறதை எவ்வளவாய்ப் பார்க்கிறீர்களோ அவ்வளவாய்ப் புத்திசொல்லவேண்டும்.”

எபிரெயர் 12:28-29

“ஆதலால், அசைவில்லாத ராஜ்யத்தைப் பெறுகிறவர்களாகிய நாம் பயத்தோடும் பக்தியோடும் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமாய் ஆராதனை செய்யும்படி கிருபையைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளக்கடவோம். 29. நம்முடைய தேவன் பட்சிக்கிற அக்கினியாயிருக்கிறாரே.”

ரோமர் 12:1-2

“அப்படியிருக்க, சகோதரரே, நீங்கள் உங்கள் சரீரங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமும் தேவனுக்குப் பிரியமுமான ஜீவபலியாக ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கவேண்டுமென்று, தேவனுடைய இரக்கங்களை முன்னிட்டு உங்களை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன்; இதுவே நீங்கள் செய்யத்தக்க புத்தியுள்ள ஆராதனை.”

இப்போது தேவன் நம்மில் வசிப்பதால், நம் உடலின் ஒவ்வொரு பாகத்தையும் பரிசுத்தத்திற்காக கடவுளுக்கு சமர்ப்பிக்க வேண்டும்.

1 கொரிந்தியர் 3:16-17

“நீங்கள் தேவனுடைய ஆலயமாயிருக்கிறீர்களென்றும், தேவனுடைய ஆவி உங்களில் வாசமாயிருக்கிறாரென்றும் அறியாதிருக்கிறீர்களா? ஒருவன் தேவனுடைய ஆலயத்தைக் கெடுத்தால், அவனை தேவன் கெடுப்பார்; தேவனுடைய ஆலயம் பரிசுத்தமாயிருக்கிறது; நீங்களே அந்த ஆலயம்.”

கர்த்தர் ஓபேத்-ஏதோம் வீட்டை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்.

1. ஓபேத்-ஏதோம் கர்த்தர்க்கு செய்த சேவை.

1 Chr 13:13;14 உஸ்ஸாவின் மீது தேவனுடைய கோபத்தைக் கண்ட பிறகும்,  தேவனின் பேழையை முழு மனதுடன் பெற்று, 3 மாதங்களும் பயத்துடன் சேவை செய்தார். எனவே, தேவன் அவரையும் அவர் குடும்பத்தையும் ஆசீர்வதித்தார்.

அவர் குடும்பத்துடன் தனியாக இருந்தபோதிலும், அவர் தேவனின் நியமங்களை அறிந்து, அதை விடாமுயற்சியுடன் பின்பற்றினார், மேலும் தனது குடும்பம், குழந்தைகளுக்குக் கற்பித்தார் மற்றும் தேவனின் பேழையின் முன் பயபக்தியுடன் வாழ்ந்தார். எனவே, தேவனன் அவரை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்.

2. கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையான உடன்படிக்கையைப் பின்பற்றினார்.

“வார்த்தை மாம்சமாகி நமக்குள்ளே குடியிருந்தார்”

எனவே, நாம் கேள்விப்பட்டவற்றில் அதிக கவனம் செலுத்த வேண்டும், அதனால் நாம் விலகிச் செல்லக்கூடாது.

Act 13:7-8, 26:24 , 2 Chr 32:10. பிசாசு கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தையிலிருந்து நம்மை திசை திருப்புகிறது.

சங்கீதம் 119:174

ஆண்டவரே, உமது இரட்சிப்புக்காக நான் ஏங்குகிறேன், உமது வார்த்தை என் மகிழ்ச்சி (சங்கீதம் 119: 92, 49,50-).

நாமும் கடவுளுடைய வார்த்தையில் மகிழ்ச்சி அடைகிறோமா?

சாத்தான் எப்போதும் நம் நேரத்தைத் திருட முயற்சிக்கிறான், கடவுளுடைய வார்த்தையில் நம் கவனத்தைத் திருடுகிறான், (மத்தேயு 13:18)

3. கொடிய பயம் இருந்தாலும் பேழையின் பொறுப்பை ஏற்றுக்கொண்டார்.

4. அவர் தனது குடும்பத்தை வழக்கமான வழிபாட்டில் வழிநடத்தினார் மற்றும் அவரது குழந்தைகள் மற்றும் பேரக்குழந்தைகளுக்கு கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைகளை கற்பித்தார்.

எனவே, கர்த்தர் அவருடைய வீட்டை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்.

1. தாவீது அவரை கர்த்தருடைய பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக ஊழியக்காரராக நியமித்தார், கர்த்தரைத் துதிப்பதற்காக அழைப்பதற்காக, நன்றி செலுத்தினார். 1 நாளா 16:4-6

2. செமாயாவின் மகன்கள் ஒத்னி, ரெபாயேல், ஓபேத், எல்சபாத் என்பவர்கள். இவர்களெல்லாரும் ஓபேத்-ஏதோமின் புத்திரர், அவர்களும் அவர்களுடைய குமாரரும் அவர்களுடைய சகோதரர்களும், வேலையில் வல்லமையுள்ளவர்கள்: ஓபேத்-ஏதோமின் அறுபத்திரண்டுபேர். I Chr 26:4-8

3. தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக கர்த்தருக்கு சேவை செய்தார்கள்.

இப்போதம் புதிய ஏற்பாட்டு விசுவாசிகள், கர்த்தர்  நமக்கு என்ன கற்பிக்கிறார் என்பதை அறிய நேரம் எடுத்துக்கொள்கிறோமா?

தேவனுக்கு பயப்படுவதை நம் குழந்தைகளுக்கு கற்பிக்க எவ்வளவு ஆர்வமாக இருக்கிறோம்?

இந்த வசனங்கள் அனைத்திலும், ஓபேத்-ஏதோமையும் அவனது குழந்தைகளையும் பேரக்குழந்தைகளையும் 62 உறுப்பினர்களைக் கொண்ட முழு குடும்பத்தையும் கடவுள் எப்படி ஆசீர்வதித்தார் என்பதை பார்ப்பது அற்புதமானது.

உரிய மரியாதையுடனும் கீழ்ப்படிதலுடனும் கர்த்தரைத் தேடி ஆசீர்வதிக்க முடிவெடுப்போம்.

லூக்கா 17: 20-24 தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் எப்போது வரும் என்று பரிசேயர்கள் கேட்டதற்கு இயேசு,

 “தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் நாட்காட்டியில் உள்ள நாட்களை எண்ணி வருவதில்லை. அல்லது யாராவது, ‘இங்கே பார்!’ அல்லது, ‘அது இருக்கிறது!’ என்று சொல்லும்போது, ​​ஏன்? ஏனென்றால், தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் ஏற்கனவே உங்கள் மத்தியில் இருக்கிறது.”

‘ஆனால் நான் தேவனுடைய விரலால் பிசாசுகளைத் துரத்தினால், நிச்சயமாக தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் உங்கள்மேல் வந்திருக்கிறது.’ (லூக்கா 11:20)

‘அவர் நம்மை இருளின் சக்தியிலிருந்து விடுவித்து, தம்முடைய அன்பின் குமாரனுடைய ராஜ்யத்திற்குள் நம்மைக் கடத்தினார். (கொலோசெயர் 1:13), தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யம் சாப்பிடுவதும் குடிப்பதும் அல்ல, மாறாக நீதியும் சமாதானமும் பரிசுத்த ஆவியில் மகிழ்ச்சியும் ஆகும்.’ (ரோமர் 14:17)

லூக்கா 17:22, 23,24 தற்காலிகப் பிரிவின் போது கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு சீடர்களிடம் கூறுகிறார், (இயேசு கிறிஸ்து பரலோகத்திற்கு எடுத்துக்கொள்ளப்பட்ட பிறகு) இந்த சீடர்கள் இயேசு இல்லாமல் சோர்வடைவார்கள் மற்றும் அவரைப் பார்க்க விரும்புவார்கள்.

லூக்கா 17:26 இயேசு தாம் வரும் காலத்தில் மக்கள் எப்படி இருப்பார்கள் என்று தொடர்ந்து கூறுகிறார். நோவா காலத்தில் இருந்த மக்கள் மற்றும் லோத்து மற்றும் அவரது குடும்பத்தின் உதாரணங்களை வழங்குதல்.கடவுள் தீர்ப்பு மற்றும் இரட்சிப்பு இரண்டையும் கொண்டு வந்தார். அதேபோல், இந்த இறுதி நாட்களிலும் ஒரு குழுவின் மீது நியாயத்தீர்ப்பும் மற்றொரு குழுவின் மீது இரட்சிப்பும் இருக்கும். (1 தெச 5:3)

கடவுள் தீர்ப்பு வரச் செய்தது எது? (ஆதியாகமம் 19:17-20)

1) கடவுளை நிராகரிக்கும் மக்களின் போக்கு மற்றும் கடவுளின் கட்டுப்பாட்டையோ அல்லது ஆலோசனையையோ விரும்பவில்லை, அவர்களின் சொந்த உடல் மற்றும் மன விருப்பத்தின்படி செய்ய விரும்புகிறார்கள்.

2) பாவம் மற்றும் அதன் விளைவுகளை உணரவில்லை.

பைபிளில் நல்ல உதாரணம்  நியாதிபதி சிம்சோன் வாழ்க்கை. (நியாதிபதி 14,15,16 அத்தியாயங்கள்) அவர் வலிமைமிக்க போர்வீரராக இருந்தார், கடவுளால் நசரேயனாக தேர்ந்தெடுக்கப்பட்டார், மேலும் அவரது பெற்றோரால் மிகவும் கவனமாக வளர்க்கப்பட்டு பரிசுத்தமாகவும் கடவுளுக்காக ஒதுக்கப்பட்டவராகவும் இருந்தார். அவர் இஸ்ரவேல் முழுவதற்கும் நியாயாதிபதியாக இருந்தார், அவருக்கு விசேஷ அபிஷேகத்தினால் வலிமையான செயல் செய்தார். (நீதிபதிகள் 16: 16, 19, 20, 21)

ஆனால் நாம் பார்க்கிறோம், அவன் கண்களின் இச்சைக்கு இரையாகிவிட்டான். அவன் தன் கண்களுக்குப் பிரியமானதால் அவனது பெற்றோரின் விருப்பத்திற்கு மாறாக ஒரு பெலிஸ்தியதின் பெண்ணை (கடவுளை அறியாத) திருமணம் செய்ய விரும்பினான். பின்னர் அவர் ஒரு வேசியிடம் வீழ்ந்தார், அவள் அவரை கவர்ந்திழுத்தாள் மற்றும் அவரது வலிமையின் ரகசியத்தை கண்டுபிடித்தாள் மற்றும் பணத்திற்காக அவரை பெலிஸ்தியர்களிடம் விற்றாள். ஒரு காலத்தில் பெலிஸ்தியனைத் தனித்தவனாகத் தோற்கடித்த சிம்சோன், இப்போது அவர்களுக்கு அடிமையாகி, கண்பார்வையை இழந்தான், இஸ்ரவேலின் வலிமைமிக்க நீதிபதி மாவு அரைக்க இழுக்கப்பட்ட இடத்தில் சிறையில் அடைக்க வேண்டியிருந்தது.என்ன பரிதாபம்?

 பாவம் (சிறியது அல்லது பெரியது) யாரையும் கடவுளின் ராஜ்யத்தில் அவர்களின் பெரிய நோக்கத்திலிருந்து வெளியேற்றும் சக்தி வாய்ந்தது.

இன்று, அபிஷேகம் செய்யப்பட்டு, கர்த்தருடைய பந்தியில் பங்குபெற்று, ஊழியஞ்செய்கிற எத்தனையோ தேவனுடைய மக்கள் இப்படிப்பட்ட பாவத்தால் வஞ்சிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.பாவத்தின் வஞ்சகத்தை உணர கடவுள் சிம்சோனுக்கு 3 வாய்ப்புகளை கொடுத்தார், ஆனால் அவர் உணரவில்லை (நீதிபதிகள் 16:7,9).இன்றும்கூட அநேக தேவனுடைய மக்கள் மாம்சத்திற்காக விழுந்திருக்கிறார்கள்.

ஒவ்வொருவரின் வாழ்விலும் கடவுளின் திட்டமும் சாத்தானின் திட்டமும் இருக்கும். நாம் நம்மைச் சமர்ப்பித்து, மாம்ச ஆசையை வெல்ல கடவுளின் கிருபையைப் பயன்படுத்த வேண்டும் (ரோமன் 6:12,13,14) அதன் மூலம் கடவுளின் திட்டத்தை நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும்.

 3) தற்போதைய உலகம் மற்றும் இந்த வாழ்க்கையைப் பற்றிய அக்கறையுடன் அவர்களின் இதயத்தை ஆக்கிரமித்துள்ளனர். (லூக்கா 21:34)

 (i) தேவதூதன்சொன்னது “உன் உயிருக்கு தப்பிக்க! உங்கள் பின்னால் பார்க்காதீர்கள் அல்லது சமவெளியில் எங்கும் தங்காதீர்கள். நீங்கள் அழிக்கப்படாமல் இருக்க, மலைகளுக்குத் தப்பிச் செல்லுங்கள். ஆதியாகமம் 19:17. ஆனால் லோத்து மலைக்குச் செல்ல விரும்பவில்லை, ஆனால் சமவெளியில் மட்டுமே இருக்க விரும்பினார். (வ. 19:18)

இன்றும் கூட, உயர்ந்த ஆன்மீக அனுபவங்களைப் பெறுவதற்கு மக்கள் முயற்சி எடுக்க விரும்புவதில்லை. வசதியான மண்டலத்தில் இருங்க விரும்புகிறார்கள். கடவுளின் மகிமையைக் காண மோசே மலை ஏறியது போலல்லாமல், பேதுரு, யோவான் மற்றும் ஜேம்ஸ் உருமாற்ற மலையில் ஏறி நம் ஆண்டவரின் மகிமையைக் கண்டனர் போலல்லாமல் அவர்கள் கீழ் நிலையில் இருக்க விரும்புகிறார்கள்.தேவதூதரின் வார்த்தைக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதற்குப் பதிலாக, “இப்போதும் , இந்த நகரம் ஓடிப்போகும் அளவுக்கு அருகில் உள்ளது, அது சிறியது; தயவு செய்து என்னை அங்கே தப்பிக்க விடுங்கள் (அது ஒரு சிறியவனல்லவா?) என் ஆத்துமா பிழைக்கும்.” (V20).

இன்றும் இது போலவே பலர் சிறிய பாவத்திற்கு தடுமாறுகிறார்கள், இரையாகியுள்ளனர், அது இறுதியில் அவர்களின் முழு வாழ்க்கையையும் அழிக்கிறது.

(ii) லூக்கா 17:31 லோத்தின் மனைவியைப் போன்ற உலகப் பொருள்களின் மீதுள்ள இச்சையால் அல்லது உலகக் கவலைகளால் மக்களின் இதயம் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது. மாறாக நம் இதயம் கடவுளின் அன்பு மற்றும் கருணையால் நிரப்பப்பட வேண்டும். 

இன்று என் அன்பான சகோதர சகோதரிகளே நாம் லோத்தைப் போல இருக்கிறோமா?

உபவாச  இருந்து ஜெபிக்கவும், கடவுளின் சாயலில் வளரவும் குறுகிய வாழ்க்கை பாதையில் நடக்க விருப்பமில்லையா? 

இன்னும் நம் உள்ளம் இவ்வுலகின் தேவையற்ற பொழுதுபோக்கு, சினிமா, சீரியல், கிசுகிசு, பார்ட்டி என்று ஏங்குகிறதா? நாம் உண்மையில் கடவுளுடைய ராஜ்யத்தின் பாகமாக இருக்க விரும்புகிறோமா?

கடவுளின் முழுமையான கட்டுப்பாட்டிற்கு நம்மை முழு மனதுடன் சமர்ப்பிக்க நாம் தயாரா?

நம்மை நாமே பரீட்சைசெய்துக்கொண்டு கடவுளிடம் திரும்புவோம். தேவன் அவருடைய ராஜ்யத்தை நம்மிலும் நம் மூலமாகவும் ஸ்தாபிப்பாராக.

மத்தேயு 22:1-14. கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தை விளக்குவதற்கு ஒரு உவமையாகக் குறிப்பிடுகிறார்.

ஒரு மன்னன் தன் மகனின் திருமணத்திற்கு ஒரு பெரிய விருந்து ஏற்பாடு செய்து பல முக்கிய நபர்களை அழைத்தான் என்று உவமை கூறுகிறது. நாள் வந்ததும், தான் அழைத்தவர்களை அழைத்து வரும்படி தன் வேலையாட்களை அனுப்பினான். ஆனால் அவர்கள் ஆர்வம் காட்டவில்லை. மீண்டும், ஒரு பெரிய விருந்து தயாராக உள்ளது, எல்லாம் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது என்று சொல்லி அவர்களை கொண்டு வர வேலைக்காரர்களை அனுப்பினார். அவர்கள் அனைவரும் சாக்கு சொல்லத் தொடங்கினர், சிலர் புதிய வியாபாரத்தில் பிஸியாக இருப்பதாகவும், சிலர் புதிய குடும்பத்தில் பிஸியாக இருப்பதாகவும், போக மறுத்துவிட்டார்கள், இதனால் ராஜாவை அவமதித்தார்கள். அதனால், அரசன் கோபமடைந்து, அழைப்பை ஏற்காததால் அவர்களைக் கொல்லும்படி கட்டளையிடுகிறான்.

யாத்திராகமம் 34:7 அவர் இரக்கமும், அன்பும், இரக்கமும் உள்ள கடவுளாக இருந்தாலும், துன்மார்க்கனைத் துன்மார்க்கனுக்குத் தண்டிக்காமல் விட்டுவிடாத நீதியுள்ள நீதிபதியாகவும் இருக்கிறார். (யாத்திராகமம் 34:14) எரிச்சலுள்ளவர் என்று பெயர் கொண்ட கர்த்தர் எரிச்சலுள்ள தேவன்.கடவுள் அன்பானவர், இரக்கமுள்ளவர் என்பதை நம்மில் பலர் அறிவோம், ஆனால் மறுபக்கம் அவர் பட்சிக்கிற அக்கினியாயிருக்கிறார் (எபிரேயர் 12:29).

எபிரேயர் 3:17 – பாவம் செய்தவர்களிடமல்லவா, அவர்களுடைய உடல்கள் வனாந்தரத்தில் அழிந்தன? 18 கீழ்ப்படியாதவர்கள் இல்லாவிட்டால் அவர்கள் ஒருபோதும் அவருடைய இளைப்பாறுதலைப் பிரவேசிக்க மாட்டார்கள் என்று கடவுள் யாரிடம் சத்தியம் செய்தார்? உலகத்தின் நான்கு மூலைகளிலும் கீழ்ப்படியாத யூதருக்கு கடவுள் சிதறடித்து, எஞ்சியவர்களை பாபிலோனில் வைத்திருந்தார், 70 ஆண்டுகளுக்குப் பிறகு அவர் அவர்களை மீண்டும் கொண்டு வந்தார்.

பலர் தங்கள் கீழ்ப்படியாமையின் மீது கடவுளின் கோபத்தின் காரணமாக நித்திய அழுகை மற்றும் தண்டனையை அறியாமல் நுழைகிறார்கள்.

இதற்கிடையில், சாலையோரம் நிற்கும் அனைவரையும் விருந்துக்கு அழைத்து வரச் சொல்கிறார். இன்றும் கடவுளுடைய ஊழியர்களால் கிறிஸ்துவின் நற்செய்தியை அறிவிப்பதன் மூலம் அனைத்து மக்களுக்கும் 4 திசைகளுக்கும் அழைப்பிதழ் அனுப்பப்படுகிறது. (ரோமன் 11:17) ஆனால் அதை ஏற்பதும் ஏற்காததும் நம் கையில் உள்ளது.

பரலோகத்தில் நடக்கவிருக்கும் கடவுளின் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியின் திருமணத்தில் கலந்துகொள்ள எங்களைத் தகுதியுள்ளவர்களாக மாற்றும்படி கேட்டு, நாங்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டு, அவருடைய சந்நிதிக்கு வந்திருக்கிறோம் என்று கடவுளைப் போற்றுங்கள். (வெளி. 19:8,9)

 இப்போது அனைவரும் விருந்து மண்டபத்தில் கூடியிருந்தபோது, ​​​​ராஜா உள்ளே நுழைந்தார், அவர் திருமண ஆடையில் இல்லாத ஒருவரைக் கண்டார். (V 11) நாம் அறிந்திருக்க வேண்டும், நம் சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள கடவுளின் கண்களுக்கு எதுவும் மறைக்கப்படவில்லை. நம்முடைய வணக்கத்தின் நோக்கம், ஆழ்ந்த எண்ணங்கள் மற்றும் மனப்பான்மை ஆகியவற்றை அவர் அறிவார்.

அந்த மனிதன் குற்ற உணர்ச்சியுடனும் பேசாமலும் இருந்தான். (V13) அவர் மன்னிக்கப்படவில்லை அல்லது கருணை காட்டப்படவில்லை ஆனால் திருமண ஆடையை அணியும் சட்டத்தை பின்பற்றாததற்காக நித்திய அழுகையின் இருளில் தள்ளப்பட்டார். ஆம், என் அன்பான சகோதரர்களே, கடவுள் அன்பானவர், இரக்கமுள்ளவர், ஆனால் மறுபுறம் அவர் பட்சிக்கிற அக்கினியாயிருக்கிறார். அவர் நீதியுள்ளவர், நீதியுள்ளவர், பரிசுத்தமானவர். பரிசுத்தம் இல்லாமல் கடவுளை யாரும் பார்க்க முடியாது.

அதேபோல், இந்த உவமையில், அரசர் விருந்தில் கலந்துகொள்வதற்கு, விருந்தில் சேரும் அனைவரும் அணிய வேண்டிய ஆடை உள்ளது. ஆனால் இந்த மனிதன் ஏன் அதை அணியவில்லை?

என்ன காரணம் இருக்க முடியும்?

1) பெருமையினால் பின்பற்றத் தயங்குவது, தான் இருக்கும் வழியே போதும் என்று எண்ணுவது.

2) கடவுளின் அன்பை சாதாரணமாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளுதல். இந்த சிறிய கீழ்ப்படியாமையை கடவுள் கவனிக்க மாட்டார் என்று நினைக்கிறார். அல்லது கடவுள் கவனித்தாலும், அவர் அன்பானவர் என்பதால் அவர் கவலைப்பட மாட்டார். இது பெரிய ஏமாற்று வேலை.

3) அரசரின் அழைப்பைப் பற்றி அலட்சியம். மன்னரின் மதிப்பும் அவரது அழைப்பின் மதிப்பும் தெரியவில்லை. இதனால், அரசனை அவமதித்து பெரும் பாக்கியத்தை இழந்தான்.

4) சோம்பல் காரணமாக கீழ்ப்படிவதில் தாமதம். 

லூக்கா 21:36, கடவுளுக்கு முன்பாகத் தகுதியுள்ளவர்களாக நிற்க ஜெபிக்க கவனமாக இருங்கள் என்று இயேசு கூறுகிறார்.நாம் கடவுளிடம் நமது பரிசுத்தத்திற்காக ஜெபிக்கிறோமா அல்லது மன்றாடுகிறோமா? நம்முடைய இழந்த ஜெப நேரத்தையும் பைபிள் தியானத்தையும் அடைய நாம் அதே முயற்சிகளை மேற்கொள்கிறோமா?அழிந்துபோகும் உடலைப் பற்றி நாம் எவ்வளவு கவனமாக இருக்கிறோமோ, அதே அளவுக்கு அழியாத ஆன்மாவின் ஆரோக்கியத்தைப் பற்றி நாம் எவ்வளவு கவலைப்படுகிறோம்?

நாம் நமது புனிதத்தை தீவிரமாக எடுத்துக்கொள்கிறோமா?

நாம் எத்தனை முறை நோன்பு நோற்கிறோம், நம் எண்ணங்களிலும் மாம்சத்திலும் பரிசுத்தத்தை தேடுகிறோம்? அந்த நாளில் ராஜாக்களின் ராஜா நம்மைக் கவனிக்கும்போது நாம் இந்த மனிதனைப் போல வாயடைத்து நிற்க மாட்டோம் என்று நம்புகிறேன்.மாறாக, நாங்கள் எங்கள் திருமண ஆடையை சுத்தமாகவும், களங்கமற்றதாகவும் வைத்து, இரட்சிப்பின் அனைத்து மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் கடவுளின் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியின் திருமண விருந்தில் காணப்படுகிறோம்.

Mathew 22:1-14. Here is one such feast Lord Jesus refers as a parable to explain the kingdom of God.

The parable goes like this that a king arranged a great feast for his son’s marriage and invited many important people. When the day came, he sent his servants to bring those whom he had invited. But they were not interested. Once again, he sent servants to bring them in chariots saying that a great feast is prepared, and everything arranged. They all started to give excuses, some said they are busy with new business, some busy with new family and refused to go, thus contempt the King. So, the king gets angry and orders them to be killed for not obliging to the invitation.

Exodus 34:7 Though HE is merciful, loving, and compassionate God, HE is also righteous judge not leaving the wicked unpunished for his wickedness. Exodus 34:14 for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

Many of us we know that God is loving, merciful but the other side HE is consuming fire (Hebrew 12:29).

Hebrew 3: 17 Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies perished in the wilderness? ¹⁸ And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?  And God scattered disobeyed Jew four corner of world and kept the remnants in Babylon, after 70 years HE brought them back. So many unknowingly enter eternal weeping and punishment due to God’s wrath upon their disobedience.

Meanwhile, he says to bring all those standing on road side, good or bad for the feast. The invitation is sent to all 4 directions to all the people, by proclaiming the Gospel of Christ by God’s servants even today. (Roman 11:17) But to accept it or not is in our hands. Praise God that we accepted and have come to HIS presence asking to make us worthy to attend the marriage of The lamb of God that will happen in heaven. (Rev. 19:8,9)

Now when all were gathered in the Banquet Hall, the King entered, and he found one man not in wedding garment. (V 11) As we should know, nothing is hidden from the eyes of our Almighty God. HE knows the purpose of our worship, our deep thoughts and attitudes.

That man was guilty and speechless. (V13) He wasn’t forgiven nor shown mercy but was thrown out into darkness of eternal weeping for not following the law of wearing the wedding garment. Yes, my dear brethren, God is loving, merciful, but on the other hand HE is destroying fire. HE is just, righteous and holy. Without holiness no one can see God.

Isaiah 61:10 As we accepted the invitation and came, God dresses us with cloth of salvation and shawl of righteousness. (Job 29:14; Rev 7:9; Rev 3: 17,18)

But we need to be careful about this precious cloth of salvation which was given free to us and grow in holiness with fear and trembling before God. Thus, be prepared to join that feast in heaven with our Lord Jesus for which HE is also preparing a place for us (John14:2)

Similarly, in this parable to attend the king feast, there is dress that needs to be worn by all who will join the feast.

But why this man did not wear it?

What could be the reason?

1. Reluctant to follow due to pride, thinking it is enough the way he is.
2. Taking God’s love for granted. Thinking God will not notice this small disobedience. Or thinking even if God notices, he won’t bother as HE is loving. This is Great deception.
3. Careless about the invitation of The King. Not knowing the value of king and his invitation. Thus, insulting the king and losing the great privilege.
4. Delaying in obeying due to laziness.

Jesus says Luke 21:36 take heed to pray to stand worthy before God.

Do we pray or plead for our holiness to God?

Do we take same efforts to catch up with our lost prayer time and bible meditation?

How much do we bother about our imperishable soul’s wellness as much as we are careful about our perishable body?

Are we taking our holiness serious?

How often do we fast and seek holiness in our thoughts and flesh?

HOPEFULLY we don’t stand speechless like this man when the king of kings take notice of us on that day.

Instead we have kept our wedding dress clean, spotless and are found in the wedding Banquet of the lamb of God with all the joy of salvation.

Bible has been teaching us the importance of our fervent prayer life.

Here too in Jeremiah 33:3, God says “call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

As we read in Jeremiah 32 :16, 21,22 Jeremiah the prophet of the most high God, pleads in prayer to God seeing the distress the people are facing due to their own prolonged disobedience to the word of God .

Addressing the great attributes of our good God; in Jeremiah 32:17, Jeremiah acknowledges nothing is impossible for God.   (Gen 18:14, Num 11:23, II chronicles 14:11, Isa 59:1, Mic 2:7, Luke 1:37)

Also, God replies according to the understanding that Jeremiah had about The God’s mighty power, saying in 32:27 ” Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh, Is there anything too hard for Me?”

Yes, God is so powerful to answer and do mighty things in our life. God answers our prayers.

But why is it that sometimes we are still in the same problem for so many years?

Why is God not answering?

Is God not able?

No, the reason is because we don’t call unto Him as much as we should in prayer.

Mt 14:23, Mark 1:35, Luke 6:12; Luke 22: 39-46 shows our Lord Jesus Christ when he was in flesh doing His ministry used to spend long hours in prayer.

Seeing the power of such prayers, the disciples asked HIM to teach them how to pray. (Luke 11 :1-13)

Even Jesus told many parables teaching the importance of prayer and encourages to pray. HE teaches us never to be discouraged and give up praying when the answer for our prayer is delayed. (Luke 18:1-8)

Because our God is one who gives attention to our prayers and replies.

Psalm 35:13, psalms 32:13 the psalmist says how discouraged he becomes when the reply from God seems delayed.

But do we know that we might be the reason for the delay?

Yes, many times we are quick to blame others, find other’s mistakes, but fail to understand or accept our own mistakes.

This is the reason for long-term failure in the life of God’s people. As stated in Deuteronomy 32:28- God’s own people lack understanding and God’s counsel.

In the life of David too he was very sensitive to sin before he became the king (1 Sam 24:5). but after becoming the king even the greatest sin of lust with Bathsheba he committed without any hesitation.

Later David had to be convicted by the prophet Nathan of his sin (2 Sam 11,12 ) it’s then he realized and repented and was restored by God.

Prayer doesn’t change God, but instead changes us, helps us realize our mistakes and repent and get closer to God.

In Jer 37:16;18;19, We see that king Zedekiah puts Jeremiah in the prison since he fails to recognize God’s word of warning through Jeremiah, instead trust the false prophets and their false prophecy.

And so, had to face many problems since the king himself was in bondage and couldn’t recognized God’s word.

But we as children of God, NT believers with the spirit of God in us, need to go into God’s presence, enquire our problems, be ready to realize our mistakes and turn back from it.

Then only we can get solutions and answers to our long-term problems.

John 16:8 Our Lord Jesus says when the Holy Spirit comes to us, HE convicts us of sin, righteousness, and judgement.

But we should give heed to the correction and conviction of the Holy Spirit.

Instead we don’t listen and dwell in our sin.

Jer 10:18 says that so God puts us into distress, so that we start seeking God’s counsel sincerely and understand our own transgression and repent.

Psalms 66:18;19 – because God doesn’t listen to prayer from a heart filled with iniquity.

2 Samuel 24:16 when king David understood his mistake and pleaded with repentance to God asking to stop the plague that had killed 70000 people, God immediately stopped the plague. Accept your mistake and confess it to God and He will deliver you out of trouble.

Prevailing prayer brings grate things and bring blessing to Churches and nations. (Example: Hoshea 12:4; Roman 15:29, Colossians 4:12).  So, we need to struggle in prayer like Jacob did which brought deliverance to his family and God’s blessings upon his descendants. (James 5:17-18) we see how Elijah prayed earnestly and God answered according to his prayer and brought clouds of blessing upon nation.

Today why we fail to pray?

True reason is that when we fail to keep God in the first position in our life, we fail to pray also.

We find time for entertainment, social media etc., but no time to pray.

If only we take decision to come back to God and call unto HIM in prayer and supplication, God will do mighty things in our life and our nation. We Christian pray and expect great things from God. HE will answer our prayer and bless us as he promised Jeremiah:

1. Health and cure, revel peach and truth (V6)
2. Liberation from captivity (V7)
3. Forgiveness of iniquity (V8)
4. Goodness (V9)
5. Fulfil all HIS words (v14)
6. Multiply/increase HIS ministers (V22)

Do we desire such blessed life?

Let’s submit to pray fervently every day.

Are we ready to strive in prayer?

Then God is ready to show us mighty things and bless HIS Church with all these foretold blessings in Jesus Name.

Jeremiah 30:17
“For I will restore health to you
And heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord.”

Almighty God many a times in our life sends us into difficult situations which seems like punishment. Here too God Himself send the small group of Judah into Babylonian captivity to break them and make them walk in God’s ways. During captivity lot of suffering they faced as we read in Jeremiah 30:6;12;13;14;15.

Why such pain in the life of God’s people?
Because they failed to listen to various warnings, prophecy, and word of God which was repeatedly sent to them. God sends us into punishment when people whom God invited for HIS glory fail to live for HIS glory by total submission.

Hebrew 12:6 says God chastens those HE loves so that they wholeheartedly turn towards GOD. Though it seems uncomfortable for sometime, but when we accept that chastening it brings eternal blessings in our life. Jeremiah 30:18;19 shows GOD himself chastens and after repentance also restores us.

Hosea 6:1 says “Come let us return to the Lord; for HE has torn, but HE will heal us; HE has stricken , but HE will bind us up.”
God doesn’t force us, but wants us to obey Him totally wholeheartedly out of love for Him.
In order to bring in us that kind of obedience, though it is painful for God to see us crying, HE allows us in such trials of life. We can see in the life of David, Joseph and so many saints of God who just dint run away from such trials, but instead submitted themselves to such trials patiently and saw God’s promises fulfilled.

Some of the reasons why does God allow such thorn in our life are:

1. To turn to God, have relationship with him and give attention to HIM and have closer walk with HIM.  (Act 9:1-20)
2. Focus on HIM not on circumstance and establish our faith. (Example : Joseph)
3. To make us humble, that we don’t exalt ourselves. (2 Corinthians 12:7-11)
4. To bring in us God’s nature of long-suffering and patience with humble obedience out of reverence and God fear.
5. We start taking sin seriously and hate sin with all our heart and finally repent with brokenness to God.
6. These trials help us to be partakers of the sufferings of Christ thereby know HIM and the power of HIS resurrection, which can bring us out of any grave situation. Phil 3:10;11.
7. Corinthians 1:5-9 These trials make us a blessing for others. We become comforter for those who are in such pain.

Thus fulfilling God’s purpose through us.

In Jeremiah 24:1, God shows His prophet Jeremiah 2 baskets of figs kept before His temple with two different types of fruits. One basket full of good ripe fruits. Another basket full of bad fruits which can’t be eaten.

Though the all fig trees grows in the same type of soil under same climate conditions, they give different types of fig fruits. Similarly, though God has called the whole tribe of Judah (church) to be part of His kingdom, only few accept and bear good fruits.

God sent His word around 23 years through His prophet Jeremiah (Jeremiah25:3). But never heed the word of God from their childhood (Jeremiah 22:21). So God decides to destroy them in their own land through famine, wars, and deadly diseases(Jeremiah 24:8-10). But there was the remnant, in whom God delights as they just wholeheartedly obeyed God in all their hardships.

While John the Baptist saw Jesus and said the winnowing fan is in His hand. and He will thoroughly clean out His threshing floor, and gather His wheat into the barn; but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire. (Mathew 3:12; 13:47;25:31-46).

His remnant and chosen people God promises his blessing (Jeremiah 24:5-7):-
1. I will set My eyes on them for Good. ( Jeremiah 31:12; 32:39-42).
2. I will build them (Jeremiah 31:4; 31:28; 29:10)
3. I will plant them [Jeremiah 32:41; like aloes planted by the Lord(Numbers 24:6), in the mountain of His inheritance (Exodus 15:17), they may dwell in a place of their own and move no more ( 1 Chronicles 17:9), That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified. (Isaiah 61:3)].
4. I will give them heart to know God. [ not in the wisdom of man but in the power of God. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God]
5. They shall be My people, and I will be their God.

Today Let’s check ourselves which basket do we belong to.
Do we belong to the basket of good fruits?

May God help us recognise our ways and return to God totally surrendering our life into HIS MIGHTY HANDS who is eagerly waiting to welcome us into HIS KINGDOM OF Godliness and goodness.
